What says summer better than Geraniums?
For this card I used our new In Color Pear Pizzazz Textured card stock as my base and layered Daffodil Delight on that to bring out the sunny days of summer and to highlight the flower pot of geraniums. The clay pot is but from Cajun Craze and shadowed with a VersaMark® marker. The leaves are punched from Garden Green card stock with the 5 Petal Flower punch then cut apart folded in half and run through the crimper for texture. The Real Red geranium flowers are many punched 4 petal flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack and mounted with Multipurpose Liquid Glue on to 1” circle punches. Don’t you just love punches? The sentiment comes from the Watercolor Trio stamp set in our Summer Mini. If you don’t have the real thing these geraniums are the next best thing – and you don’t have to water them!
We now interrupt this tour to share with you my story and reason for joining SUDSOL!
If you were a SUDSOL (Simply Unique Demonstrator Sharing On Line) member you would get wonderful ideas like these your are seeing on this Blog Tour every day. My creativity has blossomed so much since I have joined SUDSOL. When I became a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I remember CASEing most everything I made. Through our many different weekly challenges and the many compliments and encouragement of others I have found my own individual creative style with paper crafting. (You can check out my Gallery Here.) I feel I am also making many new and wonderful FRIENDS all around the world.
You don’t have to join today BUT I encourage you to at least check out the TWO WEEK FREE TRIAL by clicking on MY Blinking Button on the right. Also, I would like you to know that once you join they offer MANY ways in which to get SUDSOL time for FREE! So, go ahead and CLICK on MY Button and give it a try.
Thank you for your time - Now back to our regularly scheduled program – The Blog Tour!
Once you have the “flower pots” filled you can invite your friends over for that bar-b-que and use those Crystal Light (or other similar container) for your friends to gather their eating utensils and napkins.
Using our Gala Garden DSP I covered a Crystal Light container using Sticky Strip to adhere it. I cut a strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock and ran it through the Crimper for eye appealing texture. I then added some of our Daffodil Delight 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon with an Extra Large Tag punch attached after punching a hole with that same 4 petal Itty Bitty Punch and then added the 5 Petal Flower and the other small flower punch in that Itty Bitty Punch pack for “cuteness.” I used a piece of Very Vanilla 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon and 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon to tie the utensils together. Once they have been used your guests have finished eating they can take the container home for other uses such as a pencil holder, change bank, or to hold some of those dried summer flowers.
